Some thieves will target your home based on the trash you set out at the curb.  Don't advertise new, expensive gifts by placing TV boxes, computers, game system boxes, etc. at the curb.  You should cut the boxes down, turn them inside out so the labels/pictures are not visible, and bundle them for pick up at the curb.  Don't let your trash become cash for criminals!
